Newly opened restaurant Favo Chicken made a donation to Alberton Primary School on November 11.
Staff of Alberton Primary School was overjoyed to receive a visit from Favo Chicken on November 11.
Favo Chicken is a fairly new restaurant that started operating in the Alberton CBD a few months ago.
To share their joy, they decided to spread some goodwill to the learners and teachers of Alberton Primary.
They gave vouchers to all learners at the school, made a contribution of 70 vouchers to all staff and donated 70 branded water bottles.
Fighting throughout the pandemic, the restaurant manager, Monde Maku, said they insist on providing the best they can and sharing what they can afford.
“We believe education is important for the children to bring South Africa to the next level of development. We hope the simple sharing of a small gift of ice cream can let the learners know that happiness is still a reality. Society and the world are not just full of stress,” he said.
He thanked the neighbourhood for supporting them, as well as the principal, teachers and staff at the school.

“We thank them for their sacrifices, for sharing their love with learners and for making so much effort with the future of this country. All the effort, time and energy they spend should not be forgotten by anyone. The sacrifices they made should be remembered and cherished by all,” said Maku.
Bertus van der Bergh, principal at the school, extended his gratitude to the restaurant for their generosity.

“On behalf of all the staff and myself, we thank Favo Chicken for their commitment towards our school and the community at large. We thank them for giving back to the community and appreciating the effort the teachers and all staff are trying to make,” he said.
