Enjoy the magical Christmas light tour
Our joy of Christmas light tours is ours to share.
One of the joys of the season is watching a Christmas lights display, enjoyed by young and old.
The time is right for announcing the addresses of those who will be around for Christmas so that their families can enjoy an evening out while travelling from home to home.
• Please note that all lights will be turned on based on weather conditions.
Florentia
• The traffic circle at Loizos Cafe & Mini Mark
• 13 Fick Street (lights will be switched on daily from December 1 to December 31 from 19:00 to 21:00)
Meyersdal
• 14 Lindeque Road
• 54 Lindeque Road
• Greyvillea in the Meyersdal Estate. Lights are on from 18:30 till late.
Albertsdal
• 26 Eekhoring Street with a dancing Santa outside the gate should the children want to take a photo. (Lights are on daily from 19:00 to 20:45 during the week and from 19:00 to 21:30 over weekends)
Randhart
• Corner of Jacqueline and Samuel Streets
• Corner Joyce and Jacqueline Streets
New Redruth
• 9 Schletkamp Road. Tree, which is lit up (Alberante Estate)
Newmarket
• Stepping Stone Hospice’s Tree of Light at the Hospice Gardens at the corner of 15 Heidelberg and Ascot roads. The tree shines throughout December.
Worth the drive
• Joburg Zoo’s Festival of Lights at Jan Smuts Avenue and Upper Park Drive, Parkview, Johannesburg from November 25 to January 2. Open daily from 19:00 to 22:00 (except on Mondays)
• Christmas Wonderland 2021 at the Walter Sisulu National Botanical Garden from December 10 to December 24 from 18:00 to 22:00. Closed on Mondays
• The Spectacular Festive Lights at Silverstar from November 24 to January 5 at the Silverstar Casino, R28, Muldersdrift, Mogale City, Gauteng
• The Magical Italian Village of Lights at Montecasino from November 24 to January 5 from 07:00 to 22:00 daily at Montecasino, Montecasino Boulevard, Fourways, Johannesburg
• Destination Christmas 2021 At Melrose Arch from November 12 to January 9 at the Melrose Arch Precinct, Corlett Drive, Melrose North, Birnam, Johannesburg.
