Fund-raiser for Children’s Oncology Ward a huge success
Dance Fusion gives back to community.
Dance Fusion and their little ballerinas recently raised R10 000 for the Alberton Netcare Children’s Oncology Ward.
They hosted a big fund-raiser where they enjoyed an inspirational talk by Sandra Jansen van Vuuren, dance demonstrations, activities and a free dance class.
The fund-raiser also included donations of clothing, blankets, cutlery and other items to The Bus of Hope.
It is Dance Fusion’s way of giving back to the community.
“The fund-raiser was such a great success and we raised more than we had hoped to raise. The feedback we received was overwhelming,” said Sharon Potgieter, owner of Dance Fusion and organiser of the event.
A big cheque was given to Dr Tanya Schikerling from Alberton Netcare Children’s Oncology Ward by Sharon.
“Thank you from the bottom of our hearts,” said Schikerling.
Thank you is not enough
Sharon thanked her baby ballerinas and their families for their support.
“What special people you all are.”
Dance Fusion also thanked Food Lovers Market, Absolutely Water, Nando’s, Sparrows Private School, PNA, Postnet, The Red Box, Mondeor Bakery, SA Rangers, Nederduitsch Hervormde Kerk New Redruth, Talent Africa, Lizzy Bee decor, Bedford Dental and Sharondale Nursery.
“Thank you Dean, Wendy, Surita, Sandy, Kelly, Ms J Marais, Ms Grippa, Ms Thomas, Lenie and Hettie. You will know who you are,” Sharon concluded.
