WATCH: Food parcels for women in West Turffontein

The church will also celebrate women’s month in style at The Glen on August 27.

Quwm Ministries celebrated women in the South by blessing them with food parcels on August 6.

The church visited West Turffontein where women were presented with a food parcel and children were given snack packs. This is one of many outreach programmes by the church in the South.

Pastor Glenn Nandh from the church said they are glad they brought food parcels this time rather than hot meals, as this will go a long way to help feed families.

Easton Hendricks from Quwm Ministries said: “We are grateful and give thanks to the good Lord for the sacrifices our mothers and women make for us every day. They wake up early to go and work for us and come back in the evening. They want to come back home with everything still okay.

“As Quwm Ministries, we have a heart for people. We are a very young congregation but our heartbeat is for the people. We want to bless you with food parcels. When we discussed this outreach I was the only one saying we want the hot meal. Lots of the leaders said we must give the food parcels because the hot meal will only last for a short period while with this you can decide what you need to cook.

“We packed it nicely for you and we even prayed for it so that the Lord can stretch it out for you when you cook it. Some people are in need. The need is so great since petrol and diesel went up, so was the food. We are so fortunate as Quwm Ministries to reach out to you to bless you.”
