South Crest Resident Association takes charge of its suburb

The South Crest Resident Association embarked on a fundraising initiative to obtain asphalt, bonding glue, and monetary funding in order to fill potholes in the area.

The South Crest Resident Association (SCRA) has embarked on a project to fill all potholes plaguing South Crest.
A few of the streets have already caused damage to some residents’ tyres.

Their project has been successful and they have managed to fill the East side of South Crest, and are progressively filling the West side.

The project aims to fill all potholes, leaving no street unattended.

Johan Erkhe volunteered his time and together with his team, they are systematically working their way through the streets filling the potholes.

Leopold Dussing, chairperson of SCRA, said: “The association aims to address service delivery issues in South Crest and where possible, with the help of the residents to solve the problems in South Crest through various projects.”

The park in South Crest has also been cleaned up and the grass is being cut.

Dussing said none of this would have been possible without the input and contributions of residents and businesses in the area.

Anyone wishing to donate towards the project may contact Dussing on 076 040 2133.
