Alberton gym gets fitness fanatics into shape

The Alberton Sports and Fitness Club hosted a human rights family fun day to get locals in shape.

Health fanatics showed up in their numbers to burn sweat while enjoying a fun day hosted by the Alberton Sports and Fitness Club on March 21.

It was a day filled with activities, like spinning, rebounding, stepping, boot camp, CrossFit and high-impact exercises. It also had jumping castles for the kids and stalls offering treats.

The event, which had at least 300 entrants, aimed to unite the community on Human Rights Day. South Africa’s DJ Gcokama performed.

According to the gym’s sales and marketing manager, Otis Blume, the event was successful.

“There were many stalls, including Hyundai Motors, Sanlam, IFA, Herbal Life, a book shop, Vance Nutrition, Big Dawg Supplements, Shelly’s Take Away, John’s Chisa Nyama, Full Grace Ministries and the Sports and Fitness Club,” he said.

He reiterated that the New Redruth gym was nominated two years in a row as the best gym in the South.

Blume thanked the community for coming out and supporting them.
