Kindness brightens Ligstad’s day
Ligstad Playgroup, a local institution dedicated to toddlers’ education and care, recently experienced an outpouring of blessings.

The community united to support and uplift the young children, showcasing the essence of neighbourly love.
Laerskool Randhart recently gifted the toddlers slippers, pyjamas, and other treats. Teacher Retha van As and the student council delivered them.
Laerskool Randhart’s generosity and consideration set an example of community support, making a positive impact that deserves recognition.
But the blessings did not end there because Johanna Minnie and the team from the AFM Welfare Council’s Umephi Child and Youth Care Centres also visited the playgroup.
Minnie and the council’s efforts were commendable because they tirelessly worked to improve the lives of needy children.
Marion Wallace brought beanies for the toddlers to keep them warm and remind them of their community’s care and affection. Such small acts of kindness can impact young minds, foster a sense of belonging and instil a positive outlook.
Hannetjie Turner, the director responsible for Ligstad’s education section, expressed her gratitude to everyone involved.
“The Ligstad Playgroup has been blessed by the community’s support and generosity, reminding us of the incredible achievements possible when individuals and organisations unite to make a difference in the lives of others.
“Thanks to the collective efforts of those who contributed to its success, Ligstad Playgroup continues to provide a nurturing and educational environment for toddlers. As we witness these heartwarming acts, let us be inspired to extend our helping hands to uplift those in need and build a community where everyone feels loved and valued,” she said.
