Missing Alberton woman found dead in Krugersdorp

The body of the missing Alberton woman was found in a veld, and police have launched a murder investigation and identified her boyfriend as a suspect.

The search for missing Alberton woman Samkelisiwe Ntinga (32) has ended in tragedy after her body was discovered in Krugersdorp.

Krugersdorp Police Station Commander Brigadier Happy Xaba confirmed that her body was found dumped in an open veld near the Krugersdorp Taxi Rank in the CBD on Saturday, August 2.

A murder investigation is underway, and police believe the suspect may be someone known to her.

“A case of murder has been opened. Her boyfriend, from Simunye in Westonaria, is a suspect and we have launched a manhunt for his whereabouts,” Xaba told Krugersdorp News.

Ntinga had been missing since July 30, and police confirmed she was last seen with her boyfriend. Her vehicle was later found abandoned in the Krugersdorp CBD on August 7.

Her older sister, Lungile Hlubi, said the couple lived together in Alberton and that the family is devastated by the news of her death.
