Headlight thieves caught in Mondeor

Collaboration leads to success in crime crackdown.

In a swift operation on November 27, two suspects wanted for headlight theft were arrested in the Mondeor area.

The arrests were made possible by a license plate recognition system that flagged a hit on the suspects.

Fox Security’s tactical team located the suspects in Mondeor, thanks to assistance from Mondeor SAPS and Mondeor CPF Sector 2.

The arrested suspects are linked to multiple cases of headlight theft across various areas in the south.

The collaboration between the Fox Security, Mondeor SAPS and the community police forum was instrumental in making the arrests.

Captain Sibeko of the Gauteng SAPS commented, “This operation showcases the effectiveness of using technology like LPR systems in combating crime. We’re proud of the teamwork that led to these arrests and will continue to work with communities to keep our areas safe.”

The team behind the operation expressed their commitment to keeping communities safe and bringing criminals to justice.
