Rietvlei Zoo Farm turns pink for cancer awareness

Locals enjoyed a walk/run hosted by Diagnostic Radiological Services to raise awareness about breast cancer. The residents wore pink to support those affected.

A brand of Diagnostic Radiological Services, Femrad, recently held a breast cancer awareness campaign at Rietvlei Zoo Farm.

The purpose was to help spread knowledge about the early symptoms and signs of breast cancer as well as preventative measures, such as how to self-examine, get appropriate screening, and understand the value of routine mammograms.

Participants walked/ran 5km. Donations are meant to be taken to Chris Hani Baragwanath Academic Hospital and Stepping Stone Hospice.

The sponsors were Vertec Solutions, M-Store and Femrad.

Locals enjoyed the day and turned Rietvlei Zoo Farm pink.
