Pam’s Academy raises awareness with blood donation event
The blood drive was successful, and the community is encouraged to donate blood if they meet the criteria because blood saves lives.
Pam’s Academy hosted a blood drive at their premises in Glenanda to raise awareness about saving lives by donating blood because a blood shortage exists.
A representative from the school highlighted: “This is our way of giving back to the community, which ties in with our values. Additionally, events like this help educate our learners and the community about the importance of donating blood.”

South African National Blood Service donor recruiter Zanele Zweni added: “Donating blood is important because the blood we receive from donors is for patients in hospital, mainly women who just gave birth and cancer patients.”
