Marist Brothers Linmeyer hosts memorable farewell for their 2024 matrics

The school congratulated the matrics, wished them bright futures and highlighted how proud they are of them.

The Marist Brothers Linmeyer school community gathered to honour the Class of 2024 during their Valedictory Mass and awards ceremony.

This year’s Mass was celebrated by Father Tshepo, with Father Alberto, Father Jorge and Father Gabriel co-celebrating.

The school was also privileged to have Brother John assist Ms Coertze in presenting the Champagnat Awards.

Learners ring the bell symbolising the end of a schooling career.

The Valedictory Mass is always a significant event as it marks the last time the matrics come together to celebrate Mass in the L’Hermitage Hall as a group. This year it has held even more meaning as it was Ms Coertze’s final Valedictory Mass before her well-deserved retirement at the end of the year.

Marketing manager Tracy Edwards highlighted: “The theme of the Valediction Mass was, ‘With God, all things are possible’. We trust that our matrics will carry this sentiment forward as they embark on their next chapter. We do not doubt that whatever path they choose success will follow them.”
