The campaign highlighted the serious risks of drug use, equipping learners with crucial information to make informed decisions.
On March 24, a successful school drug awareness campaign took place at Robetsham Primary School.
According to Gauteng DPCI communication section, the focus of the campaign was on educating learners about the dangers of substance abuse, highlighting the pitfalls associated with drug use, and fostering an understanding of its consequences.
The event featured Shaleen Wohrnitz from Drug-Free World, who provided in-depth knowledge and insights on the subject.

Her presentation which included audio visuals, underscored the impact of drugs on individuals, families, and communities.
Feedback from the learners and teachers reflected the value of her contribution to the campaign. Additionally, a representative from the South African Narcotics Enforcement Bureau (SANEB) head office WO Mutshinya and Sgt Malatjie attended, delivering a compelling session on drug awareness and enforcement strategies.
The interactive segment included safe demonstrations of drug samples used for educational purposes, as arranged by SANEB.
