WATCH: 1 350 blankets donated to Laerskool Voorbrand in winter drive

Sanco Joburg Region, Sanco Ward 124, and the Greenside Muslim Community donated 1 350 blankets to Laerskool Voorbrand on June 3.

The regional chairperson of Sanco in Greater Johannesburg, Pule Thomas Thaga, said this is part of the annual ‘spreading the warmth’ campaign.

“We have partnered with the Greenside Muslim Community for the past 20 years and have donated blankets yearly,” he said.

The school’s principal, Mbongeni Mntugwa, expressed his gratitude for the generous gesture.

“We are excited about the sponsorship; it is one of the biggest since I started here in 2017. We are looking forward to other engagements with Sanco, one of them being cleaning and renovating the school,” he said.
