AutoZone boosts wheelchair care at UCPASA with vital donation
An air compressor donation from AutoZone will help the United Cerebral Palsy Association of SA maintain mobility equipment for its 31 residents in Johannesburg.
AutoZone recently donated a much-needed air compressor to the United Cerebral Palsy Association of South Africa (UCPASA), based in the south of Johannesburg, to support the maintenance of wheelchairs used by the 31 residents in its care.
Wheelchair upkeep is essential for the safety, mobility and independence of individuals living with cerebral palsy.
This vital piece of equipment will help the UCPASA continue providing reliable, high-quality care to its residents.
AutoZone marketing manager Krystle Stewien handed the donation to Kimberley Greef, the UCPASA’s head of product procurement.
“We are truly honoured to be able to assist, even in a small way, to support the residents and caregivers at the UCPASA. At AutoZone, we believe in the power of community, and being part of something that brings real, practical support to those who need it most is very meaningful to us,” said Stewien.
AutoZone remains committed to giving back and supports organisations that uplift and care for the most vulnerable members of our communities.
