Mandela Day initiative aims to restore dignity

Donations to benefit over 2,000 people in need

In celebration of Mandela Day, a community initiative is calling on individuals to donate essential items to support more than 2 000 underserved people.

The initiative, in partnership with South of Joburg Business and Tourism (SOJO) Helping Hands Foundation, aims to restore dignity and change lives by collecting toiletries, non-perishable food, pre-loved clothing and warm blankets.

Donations can be dropped off at Entrance 2, Mall of the South, and will be handed over on July 18 at the Momo Upliftment Centre.

The event will not only provide food and clothing but also remind those in need that they matter.

The initiative emphasises the impact of small acts of kindness and encourages individuals to be part of creating a positive difference in their community. By coming together, the community can make a significant impact on many lives.

For more information, contact SOJO on 082 481 8746 or Mall of the South on 011 682 8780.
