Rose pruning tutorial a blooming success at Garden Centre

Community invited to join gardening fun and be part of the Garden Club

The Tulip Garden Centre in Haddon hosted a successful rose pruning tutorial on July 15, marking an exciting step in reviving the local Garden Club, which had been inactive since the Covid-19 pandemic.

The event drew an enthusiastic crowd eager to learn the art of rose pruning and cultivation. Attendees were introduced to various rose species and shown effective pruning techniques, with a hands-on session allowing them to build confidence in their gardening skills.

As a token of appreciation, each participant received a rose plant to take home. This thoughtful gesture encouraged continued learning and practice in their own gardens.

Garden Club reopens to the community

The Garden Club is now inviting community members to join its gardening journey. Whether you’re an experienced green thumb or a complete beginner, the club offers a space to share knowledge, cultivate friendships, and grow together.

“I had a wonderful time at the rose pruning tutorial,” said attendee Arthie Nana. “The instructor was knowledgeable and patient, and I loved receiving the rose plant to take home. I’m excited to join the Garden Club and meet fellow gardening enthusiasts.”

The revival of the Garden Club reflects the power of community and shared passion.
