Unity Learner Transport Association and The Possible Foundation host charity drive in Santarama

Two groups joined forces to provide food and clothing to children and a local orphanage in Rosettenville’s Santarama community.

The Unity Learner Transport Association (ULTA), in partnership with The Possible Foundation, recently held a heartwarming charity drive in the Santarama area of Rosettenville.

The initiative focused on supporting vulnerable children by providing essentials such as food and clothing. Volunteers served nutritious meals to local kids, bringing joy and comfort to their day, while an orphanage in the area also received clothing and food supplies to help meet the needs of its young residents.

Explaining the purpose behind the event, ULTA organising member Siphamandla Mabaso said: “Our goal is to make a positive impact in the lives of children who face hardships every day. By coming together as a community and giving what we can, we hope to inspire hope and provide some relief to these young ones. This is just one step towards building a brighter future for Santarama.”

Charity drives like this one play an important role in improving the welfare of underprivileged communities by collecting and distributing resources where they are needed most.

The collaboration between ULTA and The Possible Foundation was a powerful example of community-driven action and the difference that small acts of kindness can make in the lives of others.
