Regents Park Primary shines in district-level reading quiz

All the learners showed off their skills and Regents Park Primary School took the top spot.

Regents Park Primary School proudly hosted the district-level Phendulani Literary Quiz Reading Competition, bringing together learners from several local primary schools for a fun yet challenging event that celebrated the joy of reading and the power of books.

The competition recently saw participation from Rekgutlile Primary School, Moyisela Primary School, Lawley Primary School No. 2, Refalletse Primary School, Pohopedi Primary School, Tshepana Primary School, and Regents Park Primary School.

The Phendulani Literary Quiz provides an engaging and educational platform to improve learners’ literary knowledge, comprehension skills, and critical thinking. It encourages students to open books, enjoy reading, and work collaboratively in teams.

After a tough and thrilling contest, Regents Park Primary School claimed first place. The school will now represent the district at the provincial level, marking a significant achievement for its learners and staff.

A representative from Regents Park expressed gratitude, saying: “Thank you to the schools that participated, and a big thank you to Mr Ndlovu and the principal of Regents Park Primary School, Mr Karl Schofield, along with all the staff members who made this day a success. A big thank you also goes to the district officials, Miss Sedumedi, Mr Derrick Nkwinika, Mr Thulani Kubheka, and Miss Phindile Zwane.”
