JOY Dogs get a new set of wheels
The dogs are thrilled with their spacious new ride and ready for many happy journeys ahead.
The JOY Dogs have a brand-new vehicle, a Suzuki XL6, and it’s been specially modified to suit their travelling needs.
“It was time to replace the old JOY Dogmobile,” said owner Sue Green. “We decided on another Suzuki, as the first one served us so well. The XL6 is spacious, reliable, and perfect for the dogs.”
The new vehicle was adapted by Gerhard Gassner, who also modified the previous Dogmobile. The rear seats were removed and a sturdy platform fitted, creating more space for the dogs to travel together.
“The modification came out beautifully,” Sue explained. “The dogs now have loads of space, they’re not separated, and they’re so happy on long journeys.”
The vehicle was purchased from Suzuki Bassonia, where Juan van der Merwe provided excellent service. “Juan went above and beyond to help us get the right car,” Sue said. “He really made the process easy.”
The new signage, once again completed by Doug Ford Signs, looks striking and professional. “Doug always does an amazing job,” Sue added.
The JOY Dogs have already taken their first trip in the new car to Ermelo, and Sue reports that it performed perfectly. “It’s the best car for the JOY Dogs. We’re looking forward to many trouble-free miles ahead,” she said.
You can meet the JOY Dogs in person at Builders Warehouse, Gleneagles, on Saturday, November 1, from 09:00 to 12:00 for a Dulux Paint Promotion. Sue invites everyone to come along and say hello.
“The dogs love meeting people,” she said. “It’s always such a joy to share their happiness.”
