The moment was made even more special as the school’s principal, Pexie Jafta, ushered the learners in wearing their black graduation gowns and mortarboards.
They entered in style, singing and dancing, before each learner was called to the stage to receive their certificate.

Head of Department Ntombi Twala congratulated the learners on their achievement and welcomed them to “big school.”

“We appreciate the number of learners we have this year; it has grown from previous years. We also thank the teachers for their hard work. We now welcome these learners to Grade One next year,” she said.
Special guest Grace Ndlela, a former teacher at the school who pioneered Grade R in 2002, was also honoured.

She shared a heartfelt story with the learners and parents about preparation for rainy days, offering advice and inspiration as they embark on their next stage of learning.
