Sassa brings services to the Mall of the South

SASSA outreach: Documents required for grant applications.

Sassa (South African Social Security Agency) is hosting an outreach programme at Mall of the South on November 28.

The event will be in the Tenant Meeting Room-STF10 on Level 2, near the H&M passage, from 09:00 to 15:00.

During the outreach programme, SASSA will provide services including all grant applications (including for children 0-2 years and CSG Top Up), grant enquiries, and reviews.

To use of these services, attendees must bring specific documents:

• A South African 13-digit bar-coded ID card/book of the applicant/caregiver;

• Proof of spousal relationship if applicable;

• Birth certificate of the child;

• Death certificate of a spouse/parent; and

• 3 months’ bank statements with proof of income.

For CSG Top Up applicants, additional documents such as death certificates of both parents or one parent, plus an affidavit, are needed.
