Mall of the South and Meyersdal Training Group host community run

Tenant activations, strong runner participation and a vibrant atmosphere marked a successful community-focused initiative.

Mall of the South, in partnership with Meyersdal Training Group (MTG), hosted a community running event on May 2, attracting more than 250 participants.

The event formed part of the mall’s ongoing efforts to engage with local communities, including running clubs and fitness groups, while creating opportunities for tenant involvement and increased customer interaction.

Several tenants participated in the initiative by providing promotional offers and activations for runners and visitors. Spur distributed food vouchers, while Mugg & Bean offered complimentary coffee and discount vouchers.

Lara Travel promoted its running competition during the event, and Incredible Connection featured in-store promotional offers.

According to the mall, integrating tenant participation into community-focused events supports both customer engagement and commercial objectives by increasing tenant visibility and foot traffic.

Mall of the South’s management said events of this nature remain part of its broader strategy to strengthen relationships with local organisations and community groups while supporting tenant growth through targeted activations and shared initiatives.
