Gymnasts shines at Gym Games
Gauteng was well represented by Empress Rhythmic Gymnastics
Empress Rhythmic Gymnastics Club participated in the Gym Games 2024 which took place at the Western Cape Sports School in Cape Town.
There were 38 gymnasts from the club who were selected to represent Gauteng. Diana Oliver was selected to represent South Africa and compete at the Region 5 competition that will take place in December in Zimbabwe, and her head coach Batbagana Oliver will join as the official judge at the Region 5 competition.

Ball Groups
• Empress Ball group – 3 (Joy Msimang, Khanyisa Mathebula, Ncumisa Msengana and Pretty Smart): First place and winners of this section.
• Empress Ball group – 1 (Karabo Tshabalala, Harlow Krog, Sikhanyiso Motsoane and Elisha Kounga): Fifth place.
• Level 4 U11 – Mia Botes: Fourth (overall).
• Level 4 U12 – Phiwokuhle Kubheka: Third (free dance), second (rope) and third (overall). Khumo Morodi: Third (clubs) and 10th (overall).
• Level 4 U13 – Ntobeko Mwandla: Seventh (overall).
• Level 5 U10 – Noxolo Majozi: Third (ribbon) and third (overall). Nonhlanhla Mazibuko: First (free dance) and sixth (overall).
• Level 5 U13 – Kgatliso Mononyane: Third (ribbon) and sixth (overall).
• Level 5 U14 – Nombuso Majozi: Eighth (overall).
• Level 6 U15 – Ubuhle Radebe: Third (ball) and fourth (overall).
• Level 7 U13 – Mari Clarke: Eighth (overall).
• Level 8 U13 – Kelly King: Second (ball) and third (overall).
• Level 9 U15 – Zimkitha Tyikwe: Third (ball) and Eighth (overall).
• Level 9 U15 – Li-Marie Venter: Sixth (overall).
• Level 10 U15 – Zinhle Lamula: Third (hoop), second (clubs), second (ribbon) and second (overall).
• Level 10 U15 – Dominique Moore: Second (ribbon) and fourth (overall). Nandipha Mfundisi: Sixth (overall). Caitlin Scorgie: Eighth (overall).
• Pre – Junior – Diana Oliver: First (free), second (hoop), first (clubs), first (ribbon), first (overall) and national champion.
