Finding strength, purpose, and brotherhood through boxing
Join the programme that caters for the wellbeing of men.
The Box Office Project starting on March 3, will launch the transformative Be That Guy programme, designed specifically for men seeking a renewed sense of purpose, mental resilience, and camaraderie.
In a world where stress, loneliness, and lack of motivation have become widespread issues, this initiative offers a structured and empowering solution through boxing, philosophy, and community engagement.
Boxing for mental well-being
Programme mentor Anton Gilmore said The Be That Guy programme harnesses the power of boxing to promote mental health.
“Scientific studies have shown that physical activity, particularly combat sports, significantly improves mental clarity, reduces anxiety, and combats depression.
“The discipline and skill-building inherent in boxing provide a sense of mastery and achievement, while the bonds formed in the gym foster a deep sense of belonging,” he said.
Participants will train at The Box Office Project five days a week, choosing between early morning (05:30) or evening (17:00) sessions, with a Saturday morning group boot camp at 08:30.
Beyond training, members will receive a comprehensive diet assessment and access to a healthy meal plan, ensuring a holistic approach to physical and mental well-being.
Beyond the gym: Stoicism, brotherhood, and giving back.
Besides physical training, participants will engage in daily stoic philosophy programming, offering timeless wisdom for resilience and self-mastery.
Social gatherings and outings to boxing events will further strengthen the sense of brotherhood, combating isolation and fostering genuine connections.
A unique and fulfilling aspect of Be That Guy is its partnership with Fight with Insight, a renowned initiative that uses boxing to uplift and educate young people.
Every Saturday morning, programme participants will mentor these children, teaching them boxing, life skills, and artisan trades in the workshop at the gym.
This generosity and guidance further enrich the participants’ journey, reinforcing purpose and positive impact.
