Parkrun is a free, weekly event that encourages people to get active in a friendly and welcoming environment. It’s not just about fitness. It is also a great way to meet new people and enjoy the outdoors together.

“This is my favourite way to start the weekend,” said one regular runner. “Everyone is so friendly, and it’s always fun – especially today with all the Easter outfits.”

Saturday’s parkrun at Rietvlei showed just how much joy a simple run can bring. Whether you run, jog or walk, parkrun is for everyone and events like this prove it’s more than just a run, it’s a community.
