Calling all lawn bowlers
You are invited to a fundraising day on the bowling greens on June 29 at 08:30 for 09:00.
The fundraiser is in aid of Mathews Phiri for a lovely send-off to Scotland.
Phiri was invited to play at the PBA South Africa in Cape Town, where he won silver.
This allows him to play in the 2025 Scottish International Open, which will take place from October 21 to 23 at the West Lothian Indoor Bowls Club in Livingston. This event is part of the World Bowls Tour.
On the day, bowlers are invited to two games of 10 ends (tabs in) at only R130 per person, which includes lasagna or a Prego roll and chips (pre-orders are necessary).
The day promises to be loads of fun with a corner-to-corner, spider and 50-50 board with prizes up for grabs. So be sure to bring a little extra cash.
