What began as a modest gathering of fishing enthusiasts just a few months ago, turned into an ambitious move when the organisers decided to double the excitement by hosting not just one, but two distinct fishing competitions over the course of the weekend.
The first competition started Friday evening (August 8), inviting seasoned anglers to test their skills in the deeper, more challenging stretches off Ardenza’s waters.
The emphasis was on technique, stamina and, of course, a bit of luck, as competitors vied for the title of the first winner of the club.

The club wishes to extend their gratitude to Pieter Stols from Advance Angling, Alberton North for going above and beyond in supporting our competition.
“The fishing buckets, offered as prizes, not only added excitement for our anglers but also reflected the spirit of giving and encouragement that makes our community so special. Such practical and valued gifts will surely inspire many more adventures along our local waters,” said Yvette Schlotfeldt.
Looking forward
