Silver, white and hints of red are the hues of this year’s festive season

Fourways resident and Decorex South Africa senior digital marketing executive, Daniella Galante’s digital realm dominates her professional world and everything she is seen to do is filled with heart.

Galante is following this year’s Christmas decor and design styles which comprise trendy colours of silver, white and hints of red. “My favourite trend for this year is the sparkling settings trend. The contrast of the natural elements of wood, glass and ceramic, the use of subtle and neutral pinks with the complementary matte cutlery and different metals is just beautiful,” Galante said.

Describing her ideal Christmas meal, Galante expressed that she and her family cook a massive roast of turkey, chicken and gammon with lots of sides. “Then we end it off with my mom’s famous berry and nut trifle pudding – yum!”

Naming a family Christmas tradition, Galante stated that she wakes up early to open her presents with her family, then has a wholesome breakfast and they then all go to church. “That is followed by a massive feast with the whole family.”

Galante said her most memorable Christmas present was from her mother who bought her a Samsung cellphone many years ago when camera phones just came out. “Receiving that phone was the best surprise ever!”
