Police officers arrest two armed robbery suspects in Blue Hills

BLUE HILLS – The two suspects have been charged with armed robbery and attempted murder.

The Midrand Police arrested two suspects following an armed robbery that left their victim injured on 3 June.

Spokesperson for the Midrand Police Sergeant Matome Tlamela said that the incident occurred on Mozart Street in Blue Hills when two armed suspects approached the victim.

The suspects were armed with a knife and stabbed the victim in their thigh before stealing their cell phone.She added that the Midrand Police responded swiftly and fired shots at the suspects before arresting them.

The suspects were not injured but the emergency services were called to administer treatment to the victim who had been stabbed.The two suspects were arrested and charged for armed robbery and attempted murder.

The suspects are currently detained at the Midrand Police station and are expected to appear in court soon.
