Locals came out in their numbers to support the dance event in Dainfern
DAINFERN – The founder of the dance school said it has produced a good number of dancers since it was established in 2013.
Parents and community members came out in their numbers to support local dancers.

Dainfern-based HHMZ Dance School hosted its annual year-end dance event to showcase local talent at Junction Centre in Dainfern on February 26.

The young, energetic dancers did not disappoint as they kept the audience on their feet for most of the show with their best moves.
Founder of HHMZ Dance School, Henry Nene said the event was supposed to take place in November last year but was postponed due to Covid-pandemic restrictions. “We usually host this event at the end of each year. The aim of the event is to showcase local talent and encourage parents to continue to support their children. This is one of the rare opportunities that parents get to watch their children perform live on stage.”

Nene said the school has produced a good number of dancers since it was established in 2013. “We have competition teams and some of the children have qualified to represent South Africa in Portugal and Los Angeles [LA]. One of our dancers secured a sponsorship from New York Film Academy and relocated to LA.”

He thanked parents for their support and always making sure their children have all the resources they need.
