She said over the next six months, the LRA will execute a range of projects, supported by Firzt Realty’s resources. The initial project that is currently underway, involves installing a gum pole fence at Lappies Park on Concourse Crescent.
The other projects to be carried out over the next couple of months include the installation of handrails on the new concrete bridge over the Lonehill Dam wall which had to be re-built following the collapse of the bridge and the dam wall during heavy rains two years ago.
“We are also planning on doing repairs and maintenance to a palisade fence in Lonehill Upper East, reinforcement of the Lonehill Park river banks for erosion management, pothole repairs, and the refurbishment of two existing park mini-libraries and a new one for Beverley Park to celebrate National Book Week in September.”

The Lonehill community is renowned for its energetic and proud residents, who strive to improve their surroundings. The LRA has also put a lot of emphasis on the importance of community involvement in driving success and fostering a wonderful environment.
“Giving back to the place we call home helps to unite the community and bridge some of the environmental challenges we face in the greater Lonehill area. We are extremely grateful to Firzt Realty Company for partnering with the LRA and for giving back to the Lonehill community.”
The Lonehill Residents Association was established in 1996 by a group of concerned residents in response to rising crime rates in the suburb.
As a non-profit organisation, the LRA relies on funding from community members who support its comprehensive services, including security, medical assistance, and environmental initiatives. With a small team of staff and a dedicated board of unpaid directors, the LRA works tirelessly to serve the Lonehill community.
