Holiday magic fills Sunninghill at the annual Christmas party

The festive spirit in Sunninghill was palpable as families gathered at Tesla Crescent Park for the much-anticipated annual Christmas party, hosted by the Sunninghill Community Ratepayers Association.

Children, and their parents, flocked to the park, eager to enjoy the array of activities arranged for the day, which included exciting attractions like a large jumping castle, colorful face painting, and a popcorn machine, all generously sponsored by Pam Golding Properties.

Despite the heat, children dove right into the activities, laughter filling the air. Chilli Lane provided refreshing bottled water, while Sunninghill Superspar kept appetites sated with tasty boerewors rolls.

As the clock ticked, whispers of excitement spread among the children as they knew Father Christmas was on his way. The sense of anticipation grew as the festive sounds of hooters and sirens could be heard approaching.

Moments later, Father Christmas made a grand entrance aboard a Savika Special Ops Range Rover, flanked by response vehicles flashing lights and sirens. The sight ignited an eruption of cheers and waves from the eager children, barely able to contain their excitement as he made his way to his designated chair, where children lined up to greet him. One by one, he chatted with each child, posed for pictures, and distributed hundreds of gifts donated by Savika Special Ops. The joy on the children’s faces was a heartwarming sight for all in attendance.

Linda Gildenhuys, chairperson of the Sunninghill Community Ratepayers Association, expressed gratitude for the event, stating: “Our annual Christmas party has become a cherished tradition for Sunninghill families. It’s heartening to witness the community come together to create these joyful moments for our children.

“We are incredibly grateful to Pam Golding Properties, Savika Special Ops, Chilli Lane, and Sunninghill Superspar for their generosity in making this event possible.

“This year’s festivities truly encapsulated the spirit of giving and community, reminding everyone in attendance of the warmth and togetherness that the holiday season brings.
