Young minds gather at Junior Colleges Sunninghill to celebrate World Earth Day, planting seeds of change through hands-on activities that inspire environmental stewardship.
In a spirited celebration of World Earth Day, learners at Junior Colleges Sunninghill came together to honour and protect the planet through a series of engaging activities.
Principal Bev Singh remarked on the significant influence that even the youngest voices could have in fostering environmental stewardship.
“At Junior Colleges Sunninghill, we believe that even the youngest voices can make a big difference. Our little learners enthusiastically participated in various activities, from planting seeds to creating art with recycled materials, all while learning the importance of caring for nature.”

The day was marked by excitement and discovery as children immersed themselves in hands-on experiences aimed at nurturing a sense of responsibility and love for the environment. “It was heartwarming to see our children so engaged and enthusiastic about caring for the Earth. These early experiences instil values that we hope they carry with them throughout their lives.”
Singh also highlighted the collaborative efforts of dedicated teachers and supportive parents, who together are ‘planting the seeds of change, one small step at a time’.
