Dainfern College Valediction

A memorable gesture from the school to the learners pays off.

Dainfern College hosted a valediction for their matriculants on October 12. The event was attended by board members, senior management, staff, parents, and family members of the Grade 12 students and the high school student body. The day was special to matriculants as this was the school’s way of wishing them all the best in the future.

Matriculants gave their way of goodbye using entertainment. “We had matric musicians and band members, and our pianist created a suitable atmosphere throughout the event,” said the school’s communications officer, Millisa Jardien. “We celebrated our matrics and recognised their academic and holistic achievements with subject awards, value awards and several other trophies to acknowledge their talents and contributions.”

The school also held an alumna for the class of 2008. One of the former students, Paige Albyn was the guest speaker. She addressed the audience with wise words of encouragement and motivation for their future. “Dainfern College students will start a new chapter in their lives and a new journey. We wish them nothing but the best after they have completed their final examinations, of course,” said Albyn. The formalities were memorable and culminated in the ringing of the bell to signify the end of their journey as Dainfern College learners.
