HHMZ Dance School’s dazzling Dance World Masters performances pay off in Croatia
The school's founder, Simphiwe Nene, expressed pride in the dancers' achievements, capping off an exceptional year of international competitions.
The rhythm was set, the stage was lit, and the dancers ignited. HHMZ Dance School’s talented learners took their passion for dance to the global stage, competing in the prestigious Dance World Masters 2024 competition in Croatia.
With their energetic moves, captivating choreography, and unstoppable enthusiasm, the dancers dazzled the Croatian crowd and made their mark on the international dance scene on November 16.
After rigorous rehearsals and electrifying qualifying performances, these young dance sensations earned their spot among the world’s best, and left it all on the dance floor.

The founder of the dance school, Simphiwe Nene, who works alongside Lerato Hure, said they made sure to bring every move on stage to get these results.
“We had eight items, and all of them qualified for Croatia. We got three first places, three second places, and one third place. The others were one sixth place and a seventh place.”
He said he is proud of the dancers’ performances and the competition was amazing, “This is one of our best competitions,” said Nene.
This is after the learners received an impressive haul of gold and platinum awards during a separate dance competitions which qualified them to go and compete in Serbia, Spain, and the United States of America.
The school offers classes for students aged four to adults, catering to beginners and advanced dancers alike. With a focus on building a love for dance and promoting personal growth, Nene said providing a supportive environment for students to develop their skill is what he loves doing the most.
The Dancestar competition is the last, as it started from November 11 to 16. “The showcase will be on November 30. Should residents wish to come for a trial class they are more than welcome to do so by emailing us at hmzdancesa@gmail.com.”
