Community unites for post-flood clean-up in Juweel Park
A collaborative effort by local organisations and volunteers transforms Juweel Park, showcasing the resilience and unity of Douglasdale residents in the face of adversity.
In a remarkable display of community spirit, members of the Douglasdale Community Policing Forum (CPF) teamed up with TRSS, Fire Ops SA, and local volunteers for a post-flood clean-up at Juweel Park.
The initiative aimed to restore the park after the recent floods wreaked havoc in the area, leaving behind debris and damage.
Community members rolled up their sleeves and worked diligently to clear the area, ensuring that the park remains a welcoming space for all.

Douglasdale CPF public relations officer Freda Boiles expressed gratitude on behalf of the forum. “A special thanks goes out to Meander Pharmacy for their generous donation of two boxes of gloves, which facilitated the volunteers’ efforts and helped keep the clean-up organised and safe.
“The collaboration shown by these organisations and community members is a testament to the strength of our community. We are grateful to TRSS for spearheading this important initiative and to everyone who came out to lend a hand.”
