JMPD said the recovery followed a tip-off from Vuma regarding a vehicle linked to a South African Police Service (SAPS) case.

“TRU officers dispatched to the scene. Upon arrival, officers found FG Security standing off with the suspect and the vehicle.”

The department confirmed that the vehicle was searched at the scene before being transported for further processing.

JMPD also highlighted the role of cooperation between law enforcement and private security in the recovery.

In its post, the department praised the joint effort, saying: “Great collaboration between private security and JMPD to ensure accountability on our roads.”
