Transition Football Academy celebrates a year of netting important goals

Transition Football Academy, a renowned football development programme, has reflected on an outstanding year marked by numerous achievements, milestones, and successes.

According to coach Claudio Lorenzani, “It has been another great year for us. We have had a lot of achievements.”

The academy has witnessed significant progress in player development, with several talented young players being scouted by prominent local and international clubs.

Notable transfers include Amani Sile to MLS Next, Fanele Mbangwa to Shattuck St Marys, and Wade Wyngard to Caledonian Braves in Scotland.

On the domestic front, Transition Football Academy has enjoyed tremendous success, with multiple league and cup wins across various age groups. The academy’s U19 team emerged as league winners, while the U17 team also secured a league title.

Furthermore, the academy won the RCLFA Cup in multiple age groups and the XP U10 Cup.

The academy’s coaching staff has also made sure to bring out their very best, with coach Trivern Goodon and coach Nicholas Fassasie obtaining their UEFA C licences.

“This achievement demonstrates the academy’s commitment to investing in the development of its coaches,” said Lorenzani.

As the academy looks to the future, Lorenzani said they are gearing up for an exciting Scotland trip, where they will face off against top teams and participate in training sessions with Celtic FC coaches.
