Crawford U9 netball girls win Bryanston Primary sports festival
The U9 netball team became unstoppable throughout the Bryanston Primary sports festival, putting their school on the map and leaving a mark.
Crawford International Lonehill Preparatory U9 netball team proudly represented their school at the recent Bryanston Primary sports festival, producing an unbeaten run that saw them emerge as champions.
The young team delivered impressive performances throughout the tournament, demonstrating determination, teamwork, and resilience against strong opposition.

Netball coach Chelyne Schroeder said her team showed dedication, and remained focused throughout the tournament while playing against various schools.
“The U9 netball team played multiple matches against various schools, including Rivonia Primary, Montrose, and Bryandale. The team remained undefeated throughout the tournament, with their highest winning margin being 6 goals.”
Their success was built on weeks of preparation and commitment. In preparation for the Bryanston Primary School tournament, the team committed to weekly practice sessions, demonstrating consistent hard work and dedication from all the girls.
According to Schroeder, it was not an easy win for her team; it required motivation and commitment. “The players handled the pressure exceptionally well by working together as a team, encouraging one another, and focusing on playing their own game, rather than being intimidated by strong opposition.”

What impressed Schroeder most was how the players showed up for every match with determination, and kept fighting until the final whistle, regardless of the score line. “The key qualities that contributed to their success were their dedication, resilience, teamwork, and self-belief. They consistently supported one another and never gave up.”
Winning the tournament was a significant achievement for the team, which worked incredibly hard and deserved the victory.
“This success has motivated them to continue improving. It has also reminded them that, even as champions, consistent effort is required to maintain their performance and remain undefeated in future tournaments.”
The tournament victory not only highlighted the team’s talent; it showcased the rewards of dedication, teamwork, and perseverance, setting a strong foundation for future success.
