Katlehong police arrested seven suspects last Monday during a daily stop-and-search operation in their precinct.
The operation was carried out by officers from the Katlehong SAPS Crime Prevention Unit.
The accused were charged with various offences.

Charges included malicious damage to property, assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm, common assault, domestic violence, intimidation, child neglect and for driving under the influence of alcohol.
Katlehong station commander Brig Sammy Thambo was pleased with the job well done by the officers.

He further encouraged the community to report crimes in their area.
All the arrested suspects appeared in Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court, where their cases were postponed for different reasons.
