Heatwave hits Gauteng

Temperatures expected to range from 32 to 34 degrees till Friday.

The South African Weather Service is warning residents of Gauteng to prepare for a heatwave.

It is reported that persistent high temperatures are expected to hit the province, parts of Mpumalanga and the North West until the end of next week.

With this heat wave comes an additional warning of possible veld fires.

“In Gauteng  temperatures expected to range from 32 to 34 degrees, if not more,” said forecaster Puseletso Mofokeng.
