March to mark 16 Days of Activism

To mark the beginning of 16 Days of Activism Against the Abuse of Women and Children a march against crime and drugs will be held on Saturday.

The campaign runs from November 25 to December 10.

The starting point for the march is Hoƫrskool Vryburger High School in Churchill Avenue, Primrose and participants will start meeting from 8.15am.

The march will start at 9am.

Marchers will set off from Vryburger and march down Churchill Avenue turning right into Shamrock Road.

They will then turn right into Rietfontein Road and then right into Poppy Road and gather in the car park across from the Primrose Police Station where they will be addressed by the Primrose SAPS station commander, Col Albertina Vesi and Ward 36 Clr Wendy Morgan.

Participants will return to Vryburger by walking up Poppy Road and turning left into Churchill Avenue.

The community and local businesses are urged to take part in the event.
