A 39-year-old man was arrested by the Primrose SAPS, last Sunday, for driving under the influence of alcohol.
He was nabbed at the corner of Churchill Avenue and Shamrock Road.
“While our officers were conducting a stop-and-search operation at this intersection, they spotted a driver of a vehicle who was driving recklessly and negligently,” said Const Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose SAPS.
“They followed the vehicle and it stopped in Shamrock Road.
“It is alleged that the driver was drunk and smelt like alcohol; his eyes were red and he could not speak properly.”
The officers arrested him and he appeared in the Germiston Magistrates Court, where his case was postponed for trial.
