Pharmacy helps baby home
The babies at the El Shammah Home for Abandoned Babies got lots of love and attention on Mandela Day.

The staff from Ackermans Pharmacy visited the El Shammah Home for Abandoned Babies in Beaconsfield Road, Primrose to do their 67 minutes on Mandela Day.
The staff arrived at bath time and helped to bath and feed all the babies.
El Shammah is a non-profit organisation that provides a place of safety for abused or abandoned babies.
Ackermans Pharmacy have been involved with the baby house for a few years by helping with medicine and other baby products but getting directly involved with the babies was really fulfilling and the staff will definitely start doing it more regularly.
Karen Engelbrecht from Ackermans Pharmacy said, “An hour in our lives can leave a memory of a lifetime in the lives of these babies.”
