The Primrose SAPS nabbed a 41-year-old man for the theft of a bank card, last Tuesday.
The man was arrested at the corner of Shamrock and Rietfontein roads.
It is alleged that a woman withdrew money at an ATM at one of the banks, near the corner, and the accused interrupted her and stole her bank card.
“She told the security officer at the bank and the man was caught,” said Const Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose SAPS.
“The police were called and the suspect was arrested.
“As the police, we thank the community for not taking the law into their own hands and for involving us.”
The man is due to appear in the Germiston Magistrates Court soon.
