Fourteen-year-old Avela Ngxitho was reported missing by her mother, Nomathamsanqa at the Germiston Police Station, last Tuesday.
Ngxitho’s mother last saw her child in the Goodhope informal settlement on September 1 at around 4pm.
Her mother began to worry when Ngxitho failed to arrive at her primary school, located in Germiston, on the Monday morning and had not returned home by that afternoon.
Ngxitho is described as being a short girl, who is well built.
At this stage no crime is suspected and Ngxitho is believed to still be in Germiston.
