Flying Squad and K9 Unit determined to serve.

The Germiston Flying Squad arrested 23 suspects for different crimes during a recent operation.

Among the arrested suspects; two were nabbed for drunken driving and one for possession of a .38 Special revolver.

Nineteen suspects were arrested for illegal possession of drugs of which ten were for dagga with an estimated worth of R3 000, two for cocaine valued at R2 000, two for nyaope worth R150, three for rock valued at R150, three for KAT worth R300 and one for Mandrax valued at R50.

“The Gauteng Flying Squad and K9 members are always going out in full force to hunt the criminals,” said Capt Pinky Tsinyane, Gauteng SAPS provincial spokesman.

“Their daily operations and successes are an indication that they are committed to fighting any crime anytime and anywhere.

“They made a commitment and have assured the communities that they will forever protect, care and serve with dignity.”

The 23 suspects appeared in different magistrates courts in Gauteng and are facing various criminal charges.
