The Primrose police took time out to mourn the death of Const Molefe Jonas Sekiba, who died on September 4, after a long battle with illness.
Sekiba was described as a dedicated policeman and was known to have dedicated his time with the SAPS to protecting the community of Primrose.
He proved this by coming to work even when his health made it difficult.
Sekiba would often say he was “not a fake cop”.
He joined the SAPS in 2007 and was posted at the Primrose Police Station until his untimely death.
He was buried in his home village of Lefiso, which is near Marapyane, outside Hammanskral.
He will be missed by his family, colleagues and friends, and by the community of Primrose.
Const Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police said: “The Primrose police would like to send our heartfelt condolences to Sekiba’s wife, children, mother, siblings and other relatives.
“May his soul rest in peace.”
