The quick response by the Elsburg SAPS led to the recovery of a stolen vehicle.
Const Evans Seerane and Const Shadrack Mashudu Mphephu were patrolling in Buhle Park Phase One, on October 5, when they found a White BMW 325i abandoned on the street.
The officer contacted 10111, to make an inquiry about the vehicle they had found and discovered that the car was believed to have been stolen in Edenvale on the same day.
“The officers were informed that a case docket had been opened at the Edenvale SAPS for theft of the motor vehicle,” said Const Daphney Pooko, communication officer for the Elsburg SAPS.
The identities of the car thieves are still unknown and the case is still under investigation by the Edenvale SAPS.
